1. this one disarms me. i think you've got something really good here to bring to one of the pieces kingsley and the actors create. what i think is most effective about this is the tone you are creating, and how simply you are doing it. there's not a huge amount going on here, but what is there works so well together to give that sense of dread and danger. i think this piece is less effective when the orchestration changes the second time. (around 2.05)...the build is really great and when it climaxes at that moment, i want to feel that danger push through into something that is just outrageous. but on the other hand, i do LOVE that it stays simple. i think what will help us with this is if we hold out on it, and wait until we see what the actors create in rehearsal. i absolutely want you to revisit this one though!!!
